Since Mr Akin doesn't poop or urinate on his own, what do we do?
Remember, this is why, he's been on dialysis.
But, we want his own kidneys to do their work, not some devices.
Those devices, manually doing the work of his kidneys, leave the kidneys dormant/passive.
The result of this, is a worse/deteriorated kidney.
This is why, most patients are always referred for transplant, after some time on dialysis. Meaning, dialysis is not a treatment. It doesn't heal your kidneys. Permit me to say, it even worsens them.
So, the first step is to help him offload the accumulated wastes/fluids/toxins. What are we going to do?
