My name is Enyo Omonu Chrisborn ( feel free to add ‘Doctor’ ). I am a very proud igala woman from the Dekina local government area of kogi state. Though, love, shift me go ‘yoruba land’ ( i love my husband and his tribe, so much ). You might not know, but, we, the ‘igalas’ are deep-rooted in nature ( God ) as a people and believe so much in his capabilities, through all he has provided for foods and medicine. Little wonder, we got the best naturopaths
“ask around”.
We got so many delicacies, indigenous to us, as a tribe. One of my favorites, I think was my late dad’s too, is ‘oro okoho’. These are mere foods, to the lame men, but being a tribe that always seek ways to bring out God’s best from everything, we go beyond just eating them, to fill our bellies. Virtually everything ‘nature-provided’ is ‘medicine’ to the ‘igala’ people.
Same ‘oro Okoho’ ( right Lifestyle ) helps me deliver all my babies, without fear, all by myself, in my bedroom, without a single drug, without some antenatal, without a single hospital visit. Same ‘oro okoho’, deals ‘post partum’. Even some inflammatory diseases.
Tonight’s episode is on ‘Efa’
Young leaves for soup…
Stems, we brew as tea
The hard stems, we make brooms from
We concoct and even use topically….
