We all got reasons to be unhappy and depressed at different points in our lives; financial hardship, failed relationships, marital crises, poor health state, etc. This is very normal!
But your way of managing this emotion, goes a long way on your health. So many consequences of sustained depression are attributed to hbp, today ( like hbp causes any ailment ).
Let’s take Shade and Temi as cases for study;
1. Shade just lost her very dear husband. Cries her eyes out, stay solitary for a short time and decide to engage in activities that would help her overcome worry and depression. Increase her social activities, engage with more friends, even move out of the house she shared with her late husband, adjust her mind to accept he is gone and should see him as an important part of her past……
She remembers him from time to time but quickly waves it off ( refuses to dwell on the thought )
2. Temi just lost her lovely husband but cant seem to stop crying.
Always solitary and withdraws from every activity and everyone. Dwells on the thought of hubby, day and night…..
These 2 women are going through similar situation. The first woman ( shade ) might have even had a closer and more loving relationship with her hubby, but, the 2nd woman might be the one to end up with cardiac arrest, heart failure, stroke, paralysis, mental issues.
Its not hbp! Its poor emotional management!
