I gave her all the time she needed to cry herself out.
” madam, where is your husband? “
” he’s in the house, stopped working, his legs are swelling, stomach, eyes yellow, vomiting…… ” she kept on and on
” I know you have a very fruitful lemon tree at the back of your house Mrs Tobore. Has the lemon tree perished?
” I asked, as we stepped into her compound an hour later.

” Andrew, come pluck 2 of these lemons, rinse and bring them in for your dad. Mrs Tobore, go boil me water now ” I ordered
Andrew quickly aimed for 2 ripe lemons, plucked, rinsed at a tap by the wall of the fence and led the way to his dad.
” madam, you visited my house finally ” Mr Tobore mouthed as he was leading a hand full of medications into his mouth
” let me have them ” I stretched forth my hands and snatched the pills in his hands, dumped them in the trash can at one corner of the room.

” Mr Tobore, Andrew, Esther all went wide eyed
” Andrew, get me a cup of hot water from your mum “
” what did you just do please, do you know these are my medications? ” he was struggling to talk
” Enyo, i sent Tobore on an errand, the water is boiled, so, you can also fetch from here. I don’t understand, what are these pills doing in the dustbin, is he vomiting again ? ” Mrs Tobore entered with a kettle of boiled water, pale and a cup
” I threw them in there “
” ha
. Madam, why did you do this? “

We spent sometime on a thorough massage session, especially on his chest, belly, back ( where the kidneys are located ), legs, etc
